Improper handling of retransmitted ACK packet identifiers for packets that cannot legitimately be outstanding, combined with an unbounded reliable TLS retransmission timeout, permits crafted network inputs to drive timeout handling into an overflow condition. The issue affects OpenVPN releases through 2.6.22 and through 2.7.6.
