CVE-2026-8496 is a cross-site scripting vulnerability in Alinto SOGo affecting version 5.12.7. The flaw is triggered when SOGo renders a malicious ICS calendar invitation in the webmail interface. SVG content embedded in the ICS description field can include an event handler such as onrepeat that is not sufficiently sanitized before being presented to the user. When an authenticated user views the crafted calendar invite, attacker-controlled JavaScript executes in the context of that user’s SOGo web session. The issue is effectively a stored or content-injection XSS condition in calendar invitation handling within the webmail client.
