CVE-2026-89487 is a Linux kernel Open vSwitch flaw caused by invoking skb_tx_error() on a packet buffer borrowed for a failed USERSPACE upcall while that buffer remains live and can continue through subsequent flow actions. The call clears zero-copy state, including SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG, despite the packet not being freed. For MSG_ZEROCOPY packets containing page-cache fragments, removal of this flag suppresses the copy-on-write protection relied upon by ESP-in-UDP input before in-place AEAD decryption. A subsequent local ESP-in-UDP processing path can therefore decrypt in place into page-cache-backed data not owned by the sender, creating the Fragnesia unauthorized page-cache write primitive.
