CVE-2026-92386 is a cookie-jar parsing vulnerability in curl versions earlier than 8.23.0. A remote HTTP server can supply a sufficiently long cookie name and value that curl writes a Netscape cookie-jar record exceeding its own line-length parsing limit. A subsequent curl invocation loading the same jar with --cookie silently stops parsing at the oversized record and ignores all valid cookies that follow it. The flaw creates an inconsistency between cookie serialization and parsing, allowing server-controlled cookie data to interfere with restoration of other stored cookies.

A low-severity cookie-jar parsing vulnerability in curl allows a remote HTTP server to cause an oversized cookie record to be saved. Subsequent curl invocations using --cookie stop parsing at that record and silently ignore later valid cookies. The advisory assigns CVSS v3.1 3.3 and lists fixes as pending for curl on Amazon Linux 2023 and Amazon Linux 2027 Preview. Amazon Linux 2 Core is listed as not affected.
Referenced by an Ubuntu local security check covering curl packages. No individual technical description or vulnerability-specific exploit availability is provided.
A critical vulnerability affecting curl and related packages, addressed by Echo package version 1:8.23.0-1+e1 or later. The listed CVSS v3 score is 9.1, indicating network-based exploitation without authentication or user interaction and high confidentiality and integrity impact. The content does not describe the underlying flaw.
