CVE-2026-9323 is a predictable session-identifier vulnerability in Urwid's web display backend. The backend generates its session identifier from two Python Mersenne Twister-derived random values rather than cryptographically secure randomness. Observing approximately 334 issued identifiers can permit reconstruction of the PRNG state and prediction of prior and subsequent identifiers. Separately, the identifier is used in the name of a FIFO placed in a world-listable temporary directory, allowing untrusted local users to enumerate active session identifiers. Possession of a valid identifier permits takeover of the associated web-terminal session.
