CVE-2026-94419 is an improper authentication vulnerability in wolfSSL session-cache reference handling. In affected builds, wolfSSL_get_session() returns a reference into the process-global SessionCache rather than a session object, and validation of that reference relies on a hash of the TLS session ID. Because TLS 1.2 session IDs are server-selected, a malicious server can overwrite a client-side cache entry that uses the same session ID with attacker-controlled session parameters. If an application subsequently resumes the session through the legacy wolfSSL_get_session() or SSL_get_session() reference flow, wolfSSL can perform an abbreviated handshake without certificate-chain or hostname validation and accept the malicious server as the originally authenticated server. The issue affects wolfSSL 5.3.0 through 5.9.2 when session-cache references and the client/session cache are enabled. It is reachable in TLS 1.2 and earlier and DTLS 1.2 and earlier resumption flows.

Low-severity wolfSSL session-cache reference/confusion issue affecting legacy TLS 1.2 and DTLS 1.2 session resumption.
Low-severity wolfSSL TLS session-cache confusion issue affecting legacy TLS 1.2 and DTLS 1.2 session-resumption flows.
A wolfSSL TLS/DTLS session-cache reference flaw that can allow an attacker to poison a process-global client session-cache entry and impersonate a previously authenticated server during TLS 1.2-or-earlier session resumption. It affects legacy wolfSSL_get_session()/SSL_get_session() followed by wolfSSL_set_session() flows in wolfSSL v5.3.0 through v5.9.2 when the relevant session-cache-reference protections are not configured.
