CVE-2026-96540 is an incorrect authorization vulnerability in the export settings functionality of SonicWall Network Security Manager (NSM) On-Prem versions earlier than 4.4.0. A remote attacker with a low-privileged authenticated account can obtain sensitive information that could enable escalation to administrator privileges or interception of other users’ communications within the NSM instance. Exploitation requires no user interaction. NSM SaaS is unaffected.
