LabHost was a phishing-as-a-service platform and cybercrime supplier that provided phishing kits and supporting infrastructure to customers conducting credential theft campaigns. It was especially prominent in Interac-branded phishing operations targeting Canadian financial institutions and was assessed to account for a large share of such activity prior to its disruption in April 2024. The service enabled large-scale impersonation of multiple Canadian banks through branded phishing pages and lures, and law enforcement later tied tens of thousands of phishing domains to the platform. Evidence recovered from its infrastructure also indicated large volumes of stolen credentials and compromised payment-card data. LabHost functioned as an initial-access and credential-harvesting enabler within the broader cybercrime ecosystem rather than as a ransomware operation. It was dismantled through an international law-enforcement action in April 2024 that included arrests and infrastructure seizures.
