Group Polyovki is a financially motivated web-skimming threat group active in the large-scale exploitation of the CosmicSting vulnerability, CVE-2024-34102, affecting Adobe Commerce and Magento deployments in 2024. The group compromises vulnerable online stores, obtains Magento cryptographic keys, abuses administrative API access, and injects malicious JavaScript into payment-method containers to capture customer payment data. Polyovki’s skimmer delivery has been distinguished by an externally hosted script injection. The group was one of several separately tracked criminal groups exploiting CosmicSting to compromise e-commerce merchants.
