DarkCloud Infostealer operators are cybercriminals associated with the deployment and distribution of the DarkCloud Infostealer malware family, including version 4.2. The malware has been observed in phishing campaigns targeting manufacturing organizations and is marketed and distributed through criminal channels including Telegram and dedicated sales infrastructure. DarkCloud is designed for broad information theft from both personal and enterprise environments. Reported collection objectives include browser-stored credentials, payment card data, session cookies, FTP credentials, keystrokes, clipboard contents, documents, and cryptocurrency wallet data. Exfiltration mechanisms include Telegram, FTP, email, and web-based control panels. The operators’ activity is consistent with financially motivated cybercrime centered on credential theft, session hijacking, surveillance of user input, and data exfiltration following initial access via phishing.
