Shuyal Stealer is an information-stealing malware family focused on harvesting credentials and other user data from Windows systems. It is designed to extract login data from a wide range of web browsers, including Chromium-based browsers, by querying browser SQLite credential stores. In addition to browser credential theft, it has been observed collecting clipboard contents and Discord tokens, indicating broader theft of user secrets and session material. The malware is distributed through malicious websites and phishing emails, giving it initial-access capability through social engineering and user-driven execution. After execution, it performs host reconnaissance using Windows Management Instrumentation to gather system information that can support tailored follow-on activity. Stolen data is exfiltrated through Telegram-based communications. Shuyal Stealer also includes self-replication behavior used to maintain persistence on infected hosts and complicate removal. Known reporting identifies the malware under the name Shuyal Stealer. Available information supports classification as a credential-focused cybercrime tool rather than a named state-sponsored intrusion set.
