Crime Boy's, also referred to as Crime Boys, was a Brazilian hacker group active in the early 2000s and known primarily for website defacements and intrusion attempts against U.S. government systems. The group was reported to have conducted a short campaign against web properties associated with the U.S. Department of the Interior, the U.S. Army, and NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Confirmed activity included defacement of pages associated with the Bureau of Land Management's National Training Center and the Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps Command, along with repeated attempts to compromise NASA systems. Contemporary reporting characterized the group as using relatively unsophisticated methods, including exploitation of weaknesses in Microsoft web administration components and related server-side software. Their operations indicate initial access capability against exposed web infrastructure and limited post-compromise activity centered on defacement rather than destructive or espionage-oriented tradecraft. Crime Boy's has also been mentioned in association lists and acknowledgements among Brazilian defacement crews, but high-confidence reporting chiefly supports its role as a Brazil-linked defacement group targeting U.S. government web assets.
