DTrack is a remote access trojan associated with the Lazarus Group, a North Korean state-linked threat actor. It has been used in targeted intrusions for espionage and post-compromise operations, including system reconnaissance, command execution, credential access, data collection, and exfiltration. Reporting has linked DTrack activity to attacks against enterprise and government environments, with observed victimology including financial and research-related organizations as well as entities in critical infrastructure and public-sector contexts. Operationally, DTrack supports broad post-exploitation tradecraft. Commonly reported behaviors include host and network discovery, collection of system information, process and file enumeration, keylogging, credential theft, and the use of command-and-control channels to receive tasks and return stolen data. The malware has also been associated with lateral movement and persistence mechanisms typical of mature intrusion sets. DTrack is part of the broader Lazarus tooling ecosystem and has appeared alongside other malware and intrusion techniques attributed to that cluster.
