TilapiaParabens is a phishing and rewards-scam campaign targeting Brazilian users. Active since at least March 2025, it uses deceptive short-format mobile video advertisements to lure victims into fraudulent reward offers and harvest personally identifiable information, including Brazilian taxpayer identifiers, instant-payment identifiers, and driver’s license data. The operation is associated with adtech abuse and traffic-cloaking infrastructure, including use of Keitaro for cloaking and traffic distribution, alongside other cloaking kits such as The White Rabbit and Cloakilio. Its tradecraft centers on social-engineering-driven initial access and data collection rather than ransomware or destructive activity. The campaign is best characterized as financially motivated phishing focused on credential and personal-data theft against Brazilian audiences.
