BAPHOMET is a cybercriminal forum persona observed in connection with Solonik’s breach-data sales ecosystem. The alias appeared as a credibility marker in Solonik’s forum biography and was shown in a BreachForums interaction in which the user identified as BAPHOMET thanked Solonik for previously disclosing an SQL vulnerability affecting forum structure. Available reporting supports BAPHOMET’s presence as a participant in underground forum activity and possible vulnerability-related discussions, but does not provide sufficient high-confidence evidence to characterize the actor’s broader operations, victimology, tooling, or organizational affiliation. A permanently banned BreachForums account status has been associated with the alias. No reliable attribution to a nation state, country of origin, specific targeting pattern, ransomware activity, or sustained intrusion capability is currently available.
