UAC-0233 is a threat activity cluster tracked by CERT-UA in relation to exploitation of CVE-2025-48700, a zero-click cross-site scripting vulnerability affecting Synacor Zimbra Collaboration Suite. The observed activity has been linked to exploitation beginning in late September 2025. Successful exploitation enabled access to victim mailbox contents, archived correspondence, MFA backup codes, application passwords, and global address book data, indicating a focus on account compromise and information collection from email environments. Based on the confirmed post-exploitation outcomes, the cluster demonstrates capabilities consistent with initial access, credential theft, session or account abuse, and data exfiltration against messaging infrastructure. Available information directly ties the activity to targeting in Ukraine, but does not support a high-confidence attribution to a specific country of origin or broader alias set.
