InCrease is the threat actor moniker associated with advertising and selling Amadey, a modular C++ malware platform active since 2018. Amadey operates primarily as a loader and backdoor within the commodity malware ecosystem and has been used to enable downstream ransomware, financial fraud, and broader post-compromise activity by affiliates and customers. Amadey supports a wide range of capabilities including machine fingerprinting, downloading files and scripts, command execution, screenshot capture, SOCKS proxying, remote desktop enablement, reverse proxy or VNC-style remote access, clipboard capture, and credential capture. It has also been used to distribute additional malware families, functioning as an initial-access and post-exploitation enabler for follow-on payload delivery. Reported propagation has included phishing campaigns as well as delivery through other malware loaders. Operationally, the Amadey ecosystem has been characterized as malware-as-a-service, with a pay-per-rebuild commercial model. The malware has been linked to numerous distribution clusters and broad criminal use, including delivery of infostealers, remote access trojans, crypters, and other commodity malware. Amadey has also shown behavior consistent with CIS-region avoidance, limiting some theft functions on certain regional systems. InCrease is best understood as a cybercriminal actor tied to the commercialization of a loader/backdoor platform that supports credential theft, remote access, payload staging, and broader criminal intrusion workflows rather than as a distinct state-sponsored intrusion set.
