MGLNDD Botnet is an automated operation that targets exposed Redis servers. It has been observed sending a distinctive roll-call style command to internet-accessible Redis instances to determine whether a server is already enrolled in the botnet. The activity is assessed as separate from other Redis-compromise campaigns that use SSH key implantation, replication hijacking, or Redis module abuse for host takeover. High-confidence reporting supports MGLNDD as a botnet focused on reconnaissance and botnet membership checking within the ecosystem of exposed, unprotected Redis services. Known aliases include mglndd and mglndd_botnet.
