Aiqianjin is a Chinese-language Telegram-based data broker associated with advertisements for purportedly stolen datasets, including alleged banking data from Gulf organizations. It operates within a broader ecosystem of Chinese-language cybercrime channels and marketplaces that market large volumes of claimed breach data. Available reporting indicates that Aiqianjin has advertised alleged bank savings card account records and used recurring sales patterns common to lead-data brokers. Analysis of Aiqianjin’s advertised samples indicates the actor is not reliably linked to genuine intrusions. The sample data attributed to Aiqianjin showed structural and linguistic inconsistencies, including mistranslated Arabic field names, and most of the personal data elements were assessed to have been recombined from older mass-exposure datasets rather than obtained through a fresh compromise. This places Aiqianjin more credibly in the category of a reseller or fabricator of recycled personal data than a confirmed intrusion operator. Aiqianjin’s activity is consistent with financially motivated data brokerage focused on packaging, repurposing, and selling personal information to buyers in underground channels. High-confidence evidence supports data sale and exfiltration-related brokerage claims, but does not support attribution of network intrusion, ransomware, or advanced post-compromise tradecraft to this actor.
