Rook is a ransomware operation active by late 2021. It operated a public leak site and claimed responsibility for an attack against a major automotive technology and components supplier in December 2021. Its leak site ceased operating around the end of January 2022. Rook has been assessed as operationally similar to the later Pandora ransomware operation, including overlap in a victim subsequently listed by Pandora, but a rebranding relationship is not confirmed.
