UNK_CustomCloak is a tracked threat cluster associated with password-spraying and brute-force activity against Microsoft Entra ID environments. The cluster has been observed spoofing User-Agent strings and abusing a legacy discontinued first-party application, Windows Live Custom Domains, to bypass standard sign-in restrictions during credential attacks. This activity is consistent with cloud-focused identity attacks designed to probe user passwords across large numbers of tenants while reducing the effectiveness of conventional detections. Reported operations targeted more than 4,000 Entra ID tenants. High-confidence reporting supports credential attack behavior and spoofing-based evasion against cloud identity infrastructure, but broader attribution, geographic origin, and additional victimology remain currently unavailable.
