Fatimiyoun, also referred to as FAD Team, is a pro-Iran resistance-branded cyber actor operating within a broader loosely coordinated ecosystem of hacktivists, cyber militias, and aligned proxy groups. The group is associated with psychological pressure operations rather than high-end intrusion tradecraft. Its known role in this ecosystem is to publish target lists, conduct intimidation campaigns, and issue threats against critical infrastructure, contributing to coercive signaling and propaganda amplification alongside other aligned actors. Fatimiyoun is part of a wider mobilization network that coordinates largely through Telegram, where participants share target lists, amplify one another’s claims, and support disruptive campaigns. Available reporting does not directly attribute specific ransomware operations or advanced intrusion activity to Fatimiyoun itself at high confidence.
