Panzer is a ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS) operation that emerged in 2026. It recruits and screens affiliates, provides an operational dashboard for payload generation, ransom negotiations, payment invoicing, leak-post management, and team administration, and reportedly uses an 80/20 affiliate-to-operator revenue split. Panzer advertises ransomware support for Windows, Linux, FreeBSD, and VMware ESXi environments. The operation practices double extortion, pairing encryption with claimed theft of victim data and threatened publication through a leak site. It has publicly listed alleged victims across multiple countries, including organizations in government, education, financial services, manufacturing, information technology, telecommunications, and engineering. Public reporting has not independently established Panzer's intrusion methods or analyzed its encryptor.
