PALINDROME is a fictional threat actor used in Centre for Strategic Infocomm Technologies (CSIT) InfoSecurity Challenge (TISC) capture-the-flag scenarios. It is depicted as conducting simulated ransomware and intrusion operations against fictional organizations, including a finance company and Apple Story Pte Ltd. Challenge scenarios associated PALINDROME with data theft, ransom demands, file encryption, DNS-based exfiltration, malware deployment, and web-application compromise. The ransomware sample portrayed in the scenarios, anoroc, used AES-CTR encryption and communicated encryption material to generated command-and-control-like infrastructure. PALINDROME is not established as a real-world threat actor, and its depicted operations, victims, and tooling are fictional challenge material.

A ransomware/extortion-themed activity group portrayed as compromising systems, stealing data, demanding cryptocurrency payment, deploying monitoring capability, exfiltrating data through DNS, concealing malicious payloads in image files, and operating an autonomous bomb truck.
A named ransomware group in the TISC capture-the-flag scenario. It deploys the anoroc ransomware to encrypt a finance company's data and uses generated C2 domains to receive encryption key and IV material.
