DMLOADER is a Windows loader used by the Earth Kurma cyberespionage group as part of intrusions targeting government and telecommunications organizations in Southeast Asia. It is deployed during the persistence stage and loads an embedded payload, decodes it into an in-memory PE buffer, and executes it without requiring an additional payload file. Earth Kurma has used DMLOADER alongside DUNLOADER and TESDAT to execute next-stage tooling in memory, including Cobalt Strike beacons and rootkits. This in-memory execution supports stealthy post-compromise operations and persistence.
