Malware ... MacMag
A classic Macintosh virus spread via a HyperCard stack called "New Apple Products." It installed itself as an initial startup program, displayed a 'Universal Message of Peace' on 2 March 1988, attempted to delete itself afterward, and propagated to bootable disks opened on infected systems. Although intended to be benign, bugs caused crashes on some Mac II systems and in rare cases deleted files.
