CVE-2000-1105 is an information disclosure issue in the Microsoft Index Server 2.0 / Indexing Service 3.0 ActiveX control (ixsso.query). The control is marked “safe for scripting,” allowing a malicious web page to invoke it from script in the browser and remotely determine the existence of files (and related file information) on a visiting Windows 2000 system with Indexing Services enabled. If the indexing service is running, the attacker may also be able to test for attacker-selected keywords within indexed content.
