CVE-2002-0288 is a relative path traversal vulnerability in Phusion Web Server 1.0. The server insufficiently restricts path components supplied in HTTP requests, allowing traversal using triple-dot sequences combined with Unicode-encoded forward-slash or backslash characters. Crafted request paths can escape the intended web-accessible directory and access arbitrary files readable by the web-server process.
