CVE-2002-0495 is a static code-injection vulnerability affecting csSearch 2.3 and earlier. Its CGI search component accepts the savesetup command and a setup parameter that can overwrite a Perl configuration resource subsequently loaded by the application. Because attacker-supplied content is written to an executable resource without neutralizing Perl syntax, a remote attacker can inject and execute arbitrary Perl code.
