CVE-2002-1567 is an HTTP response-splitting and cross-site scripting vulnerability in Apache Tomcat 4.1.0 through 4.1.28. Tomcat reflected the unmodified requested URL in a 404 response header. A remote attacker could supply encoded newline characters to terminate the header and cause attacker-controlled script markup embedded in the request target to be interpreted as response-body content by the client.
