CVE-2005-1905 is a local privilege-escalation vulnerability in the klif.sys driver of Kaspersky Labs Anti-Virus versions 5.0.227, 5.0.228, and 5.0.335 on Windows 2000. The driver permits a local user to modify certain critical code addresses that privileged programs subsequently access. This modification of assumed-immutable code data can cause privileged code to operate on attacker-controlled values and enable elevation of privileges.
