A vulnerability in PHP 4.x up to 4.4.0 and 5.x up to 5.0.5 allows remote attackers to overwrite the GLOBALS array and bypass security protections in PHP applications. This occurs when the RFC1867 file upload feature is used and register_globals is enabled. Attackers can send a specially crafted multipart/form-data POST request with a 'GLOBALS' file upload field, resulting in modification of the GLOBALS array and potential circumvention of application-level security controls.
