CVE-2005-4836 is an information-disclosure vulnerability in the deprecated HTTP/1.1 connector in Apache Tomcat 4.1.15 through the 4.1.x development branch. When the connector is configured with allowLinking="true", it fails to reject NULL bytes in request URIs. A remote attacker can use a crafted URI containing a NULL byte to retrieve JSP source code rather than its rendered output.
