A vulnerability in RealVNC 4.1.1 and products derived from it (such as AdderLink IP and Cisco CallManager) allows remote attackers to bypass authentication. The flaw occurs because the server accepts a client-specified insecure security type (e.g., 'Type 1 - None') even if the server does not offer it, enabling attackers to connect without valid credentials.

Repository contains a single Python exploit script (CVE-2006-2369.py) plus a minimal README. The script targets CVE-2006-2369 (RealVNC authentication bypass) by abusing the RFB (VNC) security negotiation: after reading the server’s offered security types, it unconditionally sends security type 0x01 (None) and checks for a success result on RFB 3.8 (or proceeds for 3.7/older behavior). It provides two operational modes: (1) Proxy mode: binds a local TCP listener (0.0.0.0:LPORT), accepts a VNC viewer connection, completes a synchronized handshake by presenting only ‘None’ auth to the client, then relays bidirectional traffic between client and target using threads. (2) Screenshot mode: completes the bypass, sends ClientInit, parses ServerInit to obtain framebuffer dimensions/pixel format, requests a full FramebufferUpdate (type 3) with incremental=0, and reads rectangles only if encoding is raw (0). The received pixel bytes are written to a PPM (P6) file. No external C2 infrastructure, domains, or hardcoded IPs are present; all network targets/ports and output paths are user-supplied.
This repository contains a single Metasploit auxiliary module (realvnc_41_bypass.rb) that exploits an authentication bypass vulnerability (CVE-2006-2369) in RealVNC Server versions 4.1.0 and 4.1.1. The module sets up a local TCP proxy listener (default port 5900) and connects to the target VNC server. It performs a man-in-the-middle attack on the VNC authentication process, allowing a local VNC client to connect to the remote server without authentication. The module optionally launches vncviewer automatically if configured. The exploit is operational, providing unauthenticated remote desktop access to vulnerable VNC servers. The code is written in Ruby and is designed to be run within the Metasploit framework.
