CVE-2006-3015 is an argument injection vulnerability in WinSCP 3.8.1 build 328. The flaw is triggered when WinSCP processes a specially crafted scp or sftp URI containing encoded spaces and double-quote characters. Improper neutralization of argument delimiters allows attacker-controlled URI data to be interpreted as additional command-line arguments rather than as a single intended parameter. As a result, an attacker can manipulate WinSCP's URI handling behavior to cause unintended file transfer operations, including arbitrary upload or download actions on the victim system.
