Connectix Boards 0.7 and earlier contain an unrestricted file upload vulnerability in admin.bbcode.php. Remote authenticated administrators can upload arbitrary files with a .php extension (disguised as GIF images) via the uploadimage parameter to admin.php. The uploaded file is placed in the smileys/ directory and can be executed by direct access, allowing arbitrary PHP code execution. This vulnerability can be combined with a separate SQL injection issue to allow unauthenticated remote code execution.
