CVE-2007-2449 comprises multiple reflected cross-site scripting vulnerabilities in JSP pages shipped in the Apache Tomcat examples web application. The affected JSPs incorporate user-controlled URI data into HTTP output without appropriate HTML escaping. An attacker can supply arbitrary HTML or script in the portion of a request URI following a semicolon, causing the payload to be reflected to a user who accesses the crafted URI. Affected releases are Tomcat 4.0.0 through 4.0.6, 4.1.0 through 4.1.36, 5.0.0 through 5.0.30, 5.5.0 through 5.5.24, and 6.0.0 through 6.0.13.
