CVE-2007-2919 describes multiple stack-based buffer overflows in the FViewerLoading ActiveX control (FlipViewerX.dll) used by E-Book Systems FlipViewer prior to version 4.1. The vulnerabilities are triggered by supplying overly long values to several properties (UID, Opf, PAGENO, LaunchMode, SubID, BookID, LibraryID, SubURL, LoadOpf) of the ActiveX control, leading to memory corruption.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module targeting a stack buffer overflow vulnerability (CVE-2007-2919) in the FlipViewerX.dll ActiveX control (FViewerLoading) used by E-BOOK Systems FlipViewer 4.0. The exploit is delivered via a malicious HTML page served by Metasploit's HTTP server. When a vulnerable Internet Explorer browser loads the page, JavaScript instantiates the vulnerable ActiveX control and triggers the LoadOpf() method with a specially crafted argument, causing a buffer overflow and allowing arbitrary code execution. The module supports customizable payloads via the Metasploit framework, making it weaponized and suitable for real-world exploitation. The main file is written in Ruby and leverages Metasploit's HTTPServer::HTML mixin to serve the exploit. The only fingerprintable endpoint is the HTTP server delivering the malicious page, and the exploit specifically targets Windows XP/Vista systems running Internet Explorer 6 or 7 with the vulnerable FlipViewer ActiveX control installed.
