Multiple stack-based buffer overflows exist in the IBM Lotus Domino Web Access ActiveX control, specifically in the inotes6.dll, inotes6w.dll, dwa7.dll, and dwa7w.dll components for Domino 6.x and 7.x. The vulnerability can be triggered by supplying an overly long value to the General_ServerName property when invoking the InstallBrowserHelperDll function in the Upload Module of the dwa7.dwa7.1 control in dwa7w.dll version 7.0.34.1. This allows remote attackers to overwrite the stack and execute arbitrary code in the context of the user running the browser.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module targeting a stack buffer overflow vulnerability in IBM Lotus Domino Web Access Upload Module (CVE-2007-4474). The exploit is implemented as a Ruby file for the Metasploit Framework and leverages the Metasploit HTTP server to deliver a malicious HTML/JavaScript payload to the victim. The exploit works by serving a web page that instantiates vulnerable ActiveX controls (dwa7w.dll and inotes6w.dll) and triggers a buffer overflow via the General_ServerName property, using heap spraying and a crafted return address to execute arbitrary shellcode. The payload is customizable via Metasploit and is delivered through JavaScript. The exploit targets Windows XP (SP0-SP2) running Internet Explorer 6 or 7. The only fingerprintable endpoints are the CLSIDs of the vulnerable ActiveX controls. The repository is operational and ready for use within Metasploit, with a clear structure and purpose focused on browser-based exploitation of a known IBM Lotus Domino vulnerability.
