A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the EasyMailSMTPObj ActiveX control (emsmtp.dll) version 6.0.1, as used in Quiksoft EasyMail SMTP Object and Postcast Server Pro 3.0.61. The vulnerability is triggered by passing a long argument to the SubmitToExpress method, allowing remote attackers to execute arbitrary code. This is distinct from CVE-2007-1029. The issue may have been resolved in version 6.0.3.15.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module targeting a stack buffer overflow vulnerability in the Oracle Document Capture 10g ActiveX control (emsmtp.dll, version 6.0.1.0). The exploit is delivered via a malicious HTML page served by the Metasploit framework, which uses JavaScript to instantiate the vulnerable ActiveX control (EasyMail.SMTP.6, CLSID 68AC0D5F-0424-11D5-822F-00C04F6BA8D9) and trigger the overflow by passing an overly long string to the SubmitToExpress method. The exploit supports customizable payloads (such as reverse shells) and is effective against Windows XP (SP0-SP3) and Windows Vista systems running Internet Explorer 6 or 7. The only fingerprintable endpoint is the HTTP path (default '/') used to serve the exploit, and the targeted ActiveX CLSID. The repository is structured as a typical Metasploit module, written in Ruby, and leverages embedded JavaScript for heap spraying and payload delivery.
