CVE-2007-6341 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in Net::DNS 0.60 build 654, specifically in the Net/DNS/RR/A.pm component. A remote attacker can trigger the issue by supplying a crafted DNS response that causes the library to raise a fatal exception ("croak") during packet parsing. Because the exception was not safely contained, applications using the vulnerable library could terminate prematurely while processing attacker-controlled DNS data. The issue affected software that relied on Net::DNS for DNS resolution or parsing, including deployments such as SpamAssassin and OTRS.
