Persits Software XUpload 2.1.0.1, and likely versions before 3.0, contains a buffer overflow in the XUpload.ocx ActiveX control. Supplying an overly long argument to the AddFolder function can overflow a buffer and enable remote arbitrary code execution. The vulnerable control is used by HP Mercury LoadRunner and Groove Virtual Office.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module targeting a stack buffer overflow vulnerability in the XUpload ActiveX control (version 2.1.0.1) included with HP LoadRunner 9.0 (CVE-2007-6530). The exploit is delivered via a malicious HTTP server: when a victim visits the attacker's page using Internet Explorer on Windows XP SP2, the page instantiates the vulnerable ActiveX control and triggers the AddFolder method with an overly long string, causing a buffer overflow and allowing arbitrary code execution. The module supports customizable Metasploit payloads and is operational, requiring the victim to browse to the attacker's server. The only file present is the Metasploit exploit module written in Ruby, and it does not contain any detection or fake code.
