CVE-2008-1319 is an untrusted search path and argument-injection vulnerability in the VersantD service included with Versant Object Database 7.0.1.3 and earlier. A remote client can supply a modified VERSANT_ROOT field that influences the service's search path. This can redirect execution to an attacker-controlled program, resulting in arbitrary command execution in the security context of the VersantD service. The affected database component is used by Borland CaliberRM and may be present in other products.
