CVE-2008-1947 is a cross-site scripting vulnerability in the Apache Tomcat Host Manager application. Apache Tomcat 5.5.9 through 5.5.26 and 6.0.0 through 6.0.16 fail to HTML-escape user-controlled data supplied in the name parameter, also described as the hostname attribute, when processing Host Manager host-add functionality. An attacker can inject arbitrary HTML or script that is rendered by the Host Manager interface.
