A directory traversal vulnerability exists in the UpdateAgent function of TmListen.exe, part of the OfficeScanNT Listener service in Trend Micro OfficeScan client versions 7.3 Patch 4 build 1367 and earlier, 8.0 SP1 before build 1222, 8.0 SP1 Patch 1 before build 3087, and Worry-Free Business Security 5.0 before build 1220. The vulnerability allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files on the affected system by sending specially crafted HTTP requests containing directory traversal sequences to the UpdateAgent endpoint.

This repository contains a single Metasploit auxiliary module targeting a directory traversal vulnerability (CVE-2008-2439) in Trend Micro OfficeScan's TmListen.exe service. The exploit leverages a crafted HTTP GET request to the /activeupdate endpoint with directory traversal sequences, allowing remote attackers to read arbitrary files (such as windows\win.ini) as SYSTEM. The module is written in Ruby and is structured as a typical Metasploit auxiliary scanner, requiring the target service to be accessible on TCP port 26122. The exploit does not provide a shell or code execution, but demonstrates proof-of-concept file read capability. The code is concise, with clear references to the vulnerability and related advisories.
