CVE-2008-6178 is an unrestricted file upload vulnerability in FCKeditor (versions 2.6.4 and prior, including 2.2, 2.3 beta, 2.4.3, etc.), as used in multiple products such as Falt4 CMS, Nuke ET, PHPList, PHP-Nuke, Dokeos, Adobe ColdFusion 8, and others. The vulnerability exists in the PHP connector (editor/filemanager/browser/default/connectors/php/connector.php), which fails to properly validate uploaded files. Attackers can upload files containing PHP code (even if preceded by a ZIP header) via a FileUpload action with the application/zip content type. The uploaded file is then accessible via a direct request to the UserFiles/File/ directory, allowing remote code execution. The flaw is related to improper input validation of the 'CurrentFolder' parameter and is similar to CVE-2005-4094.
