CVE-2009-0541 describes multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in Magento versions 1.2.0 and 1.2.1.1. The vulnerabilities exist in the admin login and password reset interfaces, as well as the downloader component. Specifically, user-supplied input in the username and email fields, and the return parameter in the downloader URI, are not properly sanitized, allowing attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML. The affected code paths include the login function in app/code/core/Mage/Admin/Model/Session.php and the forgotpasswordAction in app/code/core/Mage/Adminhtml/controllers/IndexController.php.
