ZeroShell 1.0beta11 and earlier contains an OS command-injection vulnerability in cgi-bin/kerbynet. The NoAuthREQ x509List action passes the type parameter to a shell context without preventing shell metacharacters, allowing a remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module (zeroshell_exec.rb) that exploits a remote code execution vulnerability in ZeroShell 2.0 RC2 and lower (CVE-2009-0545). The exploit works in three stages: (1) it leverages an unauthenticated local file inclusion (LFI) vulnerability in the '/cgi-bin/kerbynet' endpoint to retrieve the admin password from '/var/register/system/ldap/rootpw'; (2) it uses the retrieved password to authenticate as the admin user and obtain a session key; (3) it abuses the 'RunScript' action to execute arbitrary shell commands as root via the web interface. The module uses Metasploit's command stager to deliver the payload, allowing for flexible command execution. The exploit is operational and provides root-level code execution on vulnerable ZeroShell systems. The only file in the repository is a Ruby script designed for use within the Metasploit framework.
