CVE-2009-0783 is an insufficient isolation vulnerability in Apache Tomcat that permits a web application to replace an XML parser subsequently used while processing deployment descriptors for other web applications. A local user who can deploy a crafted application and cause it to load before a target application can use the substituted parser to read or modify the target application's web.xml, context.xml, or tag library descriptor files. Affected versions are Tomcat 4.1.0 through 4.1.39, 5.5.0 through 5.5.27, and 6.0.0 through 6.0.18.
