The ps_drv.sys kernel driver in multiple ArcaBit ArcaVir 2009 products allows local privilege escalation due to improper validation of user-supplied input in METHOD_NEITHER IOCTL requests. Specifically, IOCTL codes such as 0x2A7B802B, 0x2A7B8004, and 0x2A7B802F permit user-mode processes to supply arbitrary kernel addresses, which the driver then accesses without sufficient validation. This enables attackers to read from or write to arbitrary kernel memory, leading to elevation of privileges.
